Kia just introduced a new electric car called the Kia EV5 at an event in South Korea. It’s a compact SUV made for families who love tech. This car is based on Kia’s special electric car platform, and it will first be available in China and Korea.

The Kia EV5 comes in different versions. In China, you can choose from three types, and in Korea, there are four. The basic one has a 64 kWh battery and a 160 kW motor, which means it can go 530 km on one charge. The long-range version can go 720 km with an 88 kWh battery. If you want all-wheel drive (AWD), it’s still really good, with a 650 km range using the same battery.

In Korea, the regular version has a smaller 58 kWh battery but is still quite good, with the same 160 kW motor. The long-range Kia EV5 gets an 81 kWh battery, and the long-range AWD version has the same battery but goes up to 225 kW maximum power.
For people in Korea, there’s also a sportier version called the GT-Line, which has some cool features and more power.

Inside the Kia EV5, it’s all modern and fancy. It has a big screen for the dashboard and another for the entertainment system, plus a panel for the air conditioning. It’s all very high-tech.

This car is also super safe. You can add extra safety features, and it has seatbelts designed for extra protection. Plus, it comes with seven airbags and a system that helps you on the highway.

There’s even a cool feature that lets the car park itself and get out of tight parking spots with a special key.

You can choose the seats you like, and in China, you can get a special bench seat in the front. And the back seats can fold down, so you can use two-thirds of the car like a comfy bed, which is great for camping.

They’re going to make the Kia EV5 in Korea and China, but they haven’t told us exactly when it will be available to buy. People are really excited about this new electric SUV!
